Rufa Mae Quinto and ‘kalokalike’ meet on ‘It’s Showtime’ (VIDEO)
Rufa Mae Quinto met her lookalike in It’s Showtime on Wednesday. The Ang Huling Henya star dropped by the Kapamilya noontime show to promote her latest movie under Viva Films and it was so timely because her lookalike was one of the contestants in the program’s “Kalokalike” segment.
Jho Ann Sotelo has a strong resemblance to Rufa Mae. She also successfully copied her idol’s manner of speaking as she acted out scenes from Ang Huling Henya.

‘Ang Huling Henya’ starring Rufa Mae Quinto - Movie Poster and Trailer
Rufa Mae Quinto celebrates her 20th showbiz anniversary with a new movie, Viva Films’ Ang Huling Henya.
The comedienne plays the lead role of Miri who is trapped in her past. This time, however, her whole past comes crashing back into her life - old dead secrets, her dead parents, and even the walking dead.
Ang Huling Henya is directed by Marlon N. Rivera and also stars Candy Pangilinan, Edgar Allan Guzman, Ricci Chan, Ayen Laurel, Robert Seña, DJ Durano, Abby Bautista, Fabio Ide, Kean Cipriano, Valerie Weigmann and Marco Maya with the special participation of Marvin Agustin and Cherie Gil. It opens in cinemas on August 21.

“Enchanted Garden” teaser released
BB Gandanghari stars in the new TV5 series titled Enchanted Garden alongside Ruffa Gutierrez, Alice Dixson and Ruffa Mae Quinto.
BB will reportedly play the role of a rich beauty spa owner with a well-kept secret. She said in an interview that she will be given a geisha look and it excites her just thinking about it.

Rufa Mae Quinto to co-host “Wil Time Bigtime”
Rufa Mae Quinto resigned from being one of the hosts of the GMA-7 showbiz-oriented show Showbiz Central and did her last episode of the program last April 15. On Monday, May 14, she will do her first episode of Wil Time Bigtime as one of Willie Revillame’s co-hosts.
Many wondered why Rufa Mae left Showbiz Central when she spilled the news on Twitter. And while we wonder what would happen to her career after that, she makes the move of signing up with the TV5 show that seems to be perfect for her hosting skills.

The comedienne announced her quitting the show through a message posted on her Twitter account a few hours before the show.

Rufa Mae Quinto denies being 3rd party in Hayden-Vicki breakup; Crystal Henares supports heartbroken mom
After Nancy Castiglione's name got dragged in the Vicky Belo-Hayden Kho break-up, it's now the Kapuso celebrity Rufa Mae Quinto that's being said to be the reason why there's no more Kho-Belo nuptial happening this year.
The Kapuso celebrity, however, denied the speculations that she and Hayden are currently seeing each other. "Ni hindi ko s'ya nakaka-usap, ni anino n'ya hindi ko naman na-sight," she told Mario Dumaual of ABS-CBN News. "Kanya-kanyang jowa kumbaga," she added in that famous way she talks, making the people around her laugh.
"Happy naman ako ng all by myself," she said, borrowing the title of a famous Celine Dion song, when asked if she's happy these days.
Rufa and Vicki's daughter Crystal Henares were both at the Mega Magazine's 20th anniversary last night.
Crystal didn't want to give any more comments about the alleged third party that caused the break-up of her mom and Hayden's relationship. She admitted, though, that she and her mom were emotional.
"Nasasaktan s'ya," Crystal told Mario Dumaual. "Actually, sinabi n'ya physically masakit 'yong puso n'ya. I made sure she felt my love, I hugged her, she was crying..."
"I can see that you see it in her eyes na nami-miss talaga n'ya (si Hayden). She really loved him, he made her very happy... and so what I can do for her is just be there. I support her."
Meanwhile, Hayden and his manager Carlo Orosa still refuse to comment on the issue.

"Daldalita" - Trailers
Check out the trailers of GMA-7's Daldalita which premieres this coming Monday, October 17th, right before 24 Oras. It is the timeslot left by Futbolilits which reached its conclusion yesterday.
In Daldalita, Jillian Ward stars as a girl who has the abilities to talk to animals. That alone already sounds like a hit with the kids and kids at heart.
Donna Cruz also plays a special role in this kiddie fantasy series after a long time of being absent from the entertainment scene. Based on the trailer, it seems like Donna didn't age at all. She shows us she can still be fit and fabulous even if she decided to shy away from the limelight when she got married.

Jillian Ward is GMA-7's "Daldalita"
Jillian Ward stars as a girl who has the abilities to talk to animals in Daldalita, the upcoming GMA-7 television series hitting the early primetime slot beginning October 17th.
After Captain Barbell, the talented child star is given another project by the Kapuso network. She can be considered as one of the lucky child stars who don't become just one-hit wonders.
Daldalita will be shown in the timeslot that will be left by Futbolilits which is coming to its conclusion very soon. That early primetime slot of GMA-7 has always been dedicated to fantasy series with child actors in the lead, and its very successful at that with regards to the ratings game.
This Jillian Ward-starrer will surely be a hit with kids as it features talking animals like Daisy the Duck, Bobby the Pig, Kirat the Mouse and Fiona the White Persian Cat.

"Temptation Island" – Full Trailer
GMA Films and Regal Entertainment, Inc. have just released the full trailer of the much awaited remake of Joey Gosiengfiao's Temptation Island which will hit theaters July 6, 2011 nationwide.
The movie stars Marian Rivera, Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe, Solenn Heussaff, Rufa Mae Quinto, Aljur Abrenica, Tom Rodriguez, and Mikael Daez. John Lapus plays the role of the pageant host.

Heart Evangelista on Cosmo Philippines June 2011 Cover
Heart Evangelista is on the cover of the June 2011 issue of Cosmopolitan Philippines. Together with the issue is the Cosmopolitan Bride supplement with Oyo Boy Sotto and Kristine Hermosa on the cover.
Heart Evangelista, who starred in the recently-concluded GMA-7 fantaserye Dwarfina, is also one of the leads in the Temptation Island remake. She stars opposite Marian Rivera, Solenn Heussaff, Lovi Poe, and Rufa Mae Quinto.

"Temptation Island" – Movie Poster and Teaser
Movie poster of Temptation Island has just been released by Regal Films. Directed by Joey Gosiengfiao (who also directed the original movie), this is going to hit theaters last week of June.
Temptation Island is so packed with sexy actors and actresses – Marian Rivera, Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe, Solenn Heussaff, Rufa Mae Quinto, Aljur Abrenica, Tom Rodriguez, and Mikael Daez. John Lapus plays the role of the pageant host.
The teaser is quite hilarious. Marian is really such a versatile actress she fits well in both drama and comedy. Also, Rufa Mae never fails to deliver.

Final Casting of "Temptation Island" Remake
What's happening with the casting of Temptation Island remake? First, Angelica Panganiban and Pokwang had been pulled out by ABS-CBN upon knowing that GMA-7 will co-produce the movie with Regal Entertainment. Then Heart Evangelista had been on and off due to the topless part and schedule problems.
Heart's issues had been remedied by swapping roles with Lovi Poe, and by working her Dwarfina schedule out.
And now Jake Cuenca has also been pulled out by ABS-CBN.
It's such a waste. And I thought we'd be seeing Lovi and Jake in the film together.
The final female cast of Temptation Island includes Marian Rivera, Solenn Heussaff, Lovi Poe, and Heart Evangelista. The final male cast include Aljur Abrenica, Paulo Avelino, and Tom Rodriguez. They're still looking for another male lead.
Rufa Mae Quinto and John Lapuz are also part of this movie as one of the female lead's yaya and pageant organizer respectively.
Chris Martinez directs the film which will be shot on location in Paoay, Ilocos Norte starting April 14th. Martinez also directed the play Temptation Island: Live at the CCP in 2003. His more popular works include 100, Here Comes the Bride, and My Valentine Girls (Gunaw).

Jon Avila and Rufa Mae Quinto are "Getting to Know Each Other"
Willing not to be single this year, Jon Avila confesses that he and actress Rufa Mae Quinto are now on the getting-to-know-each-other stage. They first met on the set of their first movie together, Viva Film's upcoming "Status: Single."
Jon also says that he is flattered whenever Rufa Mae openly talks to the media about their relationship. He even thanks the comedienne for her friendship and says he is glad that Rufa Mae is with him at the start of 2009.
After "Kapitan Boom," we only saw Jon on television via the Sunday variety show "ASAP." But be sad no more Kapitan Boom fans, because the superhero is making a comeback through the upcoming television show "Sanlakas" which will also feature other "Komiks" characters like Lastikman, Tiny Tony, and Varga.
